President's Cup

The President's Cup is normally played in August of each year (see the Club Tournament Schedule for exact dates). While the format and game are the choice of the current President, it is usually an eclectic event. Below are the major highlights of the tournament, for full details please refer to the club's House Rules.

  • Rounds -
    1. Two 18-hole postable rounds to be played on two consecutive Tuesdays.
    2. Must play both rounds on the dates scheduled.
  • Competitors –
    1. Must be member in good standing for prior two (2) months.
    2. Must have an established USGA handicap.
    3. Must have played at least five (5) 18 hole rounds played on Ladies Day.
  • Fees - Fees for both rounds will be collected at registration for the first round.

Club Championship

The Club Championship is normally played in September of each year (see the Club Tournament Schedule for exact dates). The Club Championship is the only "true" tournament, as recognized by the USGA, that the CVWGC currently sponsors. Below are the major highlights of the tournament, for full details please refer to the club's House Rules.

  • Rounds -
    1. Two 18-hole stroke-play rounds to be played on two consecutive Tuesdays.
    2. Must play both rounds on the dates scheduled.
  • Competitors –
    1. Must be member in good standing for prior two (2) months.
    2. Must have an established USGA handicap.
    3. Must have played at least five (5) 18-hole rounds played on Ladies Day.
  • Fees - Fees for both rounds will be collected at registration for the first round.

Annual Eclectic

The Annual Eclectic is a season long tournament involving all postable Ladies Day rounds of golf (for a detailed description of an Eclectic see Games We Play). At the end of the season, each players "Eclectic" score card will be compiled using the players lowest "gross score" recorded over the course of the season for each hole. For more details please refer to the club's House Rules .

  • Rounds -
    1. The Annual Eclectic includes all regular postable rounds played during the season.
  • Competitors –
    1. Must be member in good standing for prior two (2) months.
    2. Must have an established USGA handicap.
    3. Must have played at least one (1) postable 18-hole round played on Ladies Day.
  • Fees -
    1. Eclectic fees are collected with the Annual Membership Fees.
    2. Auto registration is included with your Membership.

Club Aces

Club Aces are those members who have been fortunate enough to have a Hole-In-One and who meet the following requirements:
  • The Hole-In-One was made on Ladies Day, at the Carson Valley Golf Course.
  • Must be member in good standing.
